Okay I will sound crazy to anyone not living with autism. But my T4 sat on the toilet today.
He is five next week.
We have tried everything conceivable to get there. Which I must say have all been an epic fail. But then today BINGO.
T4 told me last week that he was going to stop wearing nappies when it was his birthday. I thought there was no hope on earth of that being the case but who knows.
One day he might hate me for posting that he was in nappies still at five but I will just remind him of how proud I am of him.
How proud he has made us and how far he has come in this year between him becoming four and turning five.
I got my first kiss.
I got my first, ‘I love you’
He learned more words than we could have ever dreamed.
And yes, hopefully we will get out if nappies.
Good job little man. Good job. You have come such a long way and you make me so proud every minute of every day.
It’s the little things. I was told that when I first found out the boys had autism. It’s the little things. I don’t agree with that too much. I think these so called little thing are huge.
Great job little man. I love you loads.

Yeh, fantastic, wonderful news. It paus to never stop trying. I’m so pleased
Yes I thought so too Brig. I was pretty thrilled to say the least. I had a giggle to myself as I went to sleep wondering how many other mum would be so excited that their five year old sat on the toilet. Then I realised – loads.
